Portugal's Cradle

Guimarães Tour - 1 day incl. lunch and tasting

Minho is the greenest Portuguese region with rich vineyards dotted with sleepy little villages. The catholic religion is deeply rooted in the traditions, as we can find an endless number of monasteries, churches and chapels. Minho’s artistic heritage includes Roman ruins, medieval walled towns and venerable castles, rustic churches and sumptuous cathedrals.

Take a walk among the streets of the historical centre of Guimarães, the cradle of the Portuguese nation, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. It’s also marvellous to watch the stateliness of the Sé de Braga or the Bom Jesus’s staircase, the path usually taken by pilgrims. This tour helps us to understand where the Portuguese Nation was born, while contributing for the sustainable growth of the Northern Portugal.
