With us, you can
discover São Miguel Island with your own feet. We have selected
some of the best hiking trails with various difficulty degrees
in different parts of the island.
We pick you up in various hotels on the area of Ponta Delgada.
A picnic can be arranged for the single price of 5€ extra.
The tour can be cancelled; it will depend of the weather
conditions. In this case, in the morning of the tour, you will
be contacted by telephone.
DESCRIPTIONS OF THE VARIOUS TOURS:
I – RELVA
A short walk along the Southwestern coast of the island. The
trail takes us to a small and quiet place nearby the ocean.
There are slopes of the terrain.
DISTANCE: 5 KM
DURATION: 2,5H
DEPARTURE: 9H00 OR 13H00
II – SETE CIDADES
We go to the Easter border of a crater with a superb view of
the lakes and Sete Cidades Village. We, also, encounter an
excellent view of Northern coast of the island. Tour of slight
difficult terrain.

DURATION: 5H
DEPARTURE: 9H00
III – LAGOA DO FOGO
The tour takes us to the top, down through forest and
pastures to “Lagoa do Fogo”, where you can refresh yourself with
clean waters. We recommend good hiking boots, because there are
hard terrains. There are, too, many difficulty inclinations.

IV – LOMBADAS
It is a difficult walk in a mountainous zone of the island.
The first part is more or less inclined and you should be in
good physical condition and you should use adequate footwear. We
encounter a good view of “Lagoa do Fogo” and the tour only ends
after we descend and we find ourselves in Vila Franca do Campo.

DEPARTURE: 9H
V – SANGUINHO
The walk starts in the beautiful area of “Faial da Terra” (Povoação),
on the Southern coast of the island. The trail takes us between
woodland to a small waterfall. In the return, we pass Sanguinho,
an abandoned area, where it comes back to life behind an
eco-tourism project.
