We offers you
different adventures packages in the impressive country-side. We
pretend to help you in the discovery of beautiful places beyond
the common.
We would like to share the secrets of the islands: the lakes,
the waterfalls, ancients roads and wild beauty of “Serra da
Tronqueira” – Nordeste (São Miguel); with Land Rovers well
equipped, we will take you in roads that are not accessible by
another way.
This tour covers a lot of terrain! Possibility of swimming in a
natural ocean swimming pool and a visit to the pineapple
plantation.
The jeep safari starts at 9h45am.
We will pass by “Arribanas” and “Arrifes”, two beautiful green
zones areas, where the most quantity of milk in Azores is
produced.
Our first stop will be at “Miradouro do Carvão”, a magnificent
panoramic view of the North coast of the island.
Then, we will travel through amazing lakes zones. We will visit
“Empadada” lake and after “Lagoa do Canário”, which is situated
at an altitude of 745m in “Sete Cidades”.
Around 11h30am, we will be stopping at “Vista do Rei”, a very
well known view, characterized by the volcanic depression that
constitutes the hot springs of “Sete Cidades”. The name was
given after the visit of the king, called Carlos, and the queen,
called Amelia on 6th July of 1901.
An altitude of 600m circumscribing the twin lakes is the
“Miradouro das Cumieiras”, another panoramic sight to the “Sete
Cidades” valley.
The lunch will be served around 13h00pm at a typical restaurant
in the North coast of the island. The menu will be traditional
azorean food. Around 14h00pm, it will be restarting our journey
at the “Capelas” harbor, a whalers village.
This jeep safari include a brief visit to a pineapple plantation
situated in “Fajã de Baixo”; there are green houses where the
precious fruit is produced, it can be visited and liquors can be
tasted.
The end of our breathtaking day, will be at 17h00pm. |
